I like the window reflection very much. The detail in the elevator shot is amazing. 2 thumbs up!

Elegant photo of elegant subjects. I doubt I could afford even a ride in the elevator.

Woody: Thanks, I wasn't sure the elevator would be recognizable.

I didn't even see the reflection in the window until after I'd uploaded, I was so intent on getting the chandelier and the brass window trim!

Awarewriter: very elegant - and way over the top for my taste.

In fact, I couldn't even get in to the Lobby. This elevator was from the Shops to the rear of the Lobby.

Char: what I could see was very opulent.

Park Plaza, formerly known as hotel, right???? I guess staying here will never be on my horizon. Your capture of the details, however, is breathtaking. The glory of eras past.

I like how the tall building turns into drapes on the right side and the elevator shot is mind-boggling.

Love the window shot.

All are great reflections!
Enjoy the weekend.

Beautiful. I love the first one, the way the drapes seem to make the reflected building curve. Really nice work. Kathy

The composition of the first photo is perfect and the elegance of the second is exquisite.

Wouldn't mind spending a few days there! ;-) Excellent reflections.

Jan: with rates starting at $550 per person double occupancy, it is way out of my horizon, too!

VioletSky said...

Diane: that elevator was a bit dizzying actually! and it only went up 2 floors!

Rebecca, Betty, Regina: thank you

VioletSky said...

Kathy: thanks, it was unplanned, but I am pleased with that effect, too.

Quilly: thanks. there is an awful lot of gold and brass from what I saw.

hip chick and cieldequimper: thanks. save your pennies and dollars - or meet the right person with connections!!

OMG! Gorgeous, gorgeous!! :)

Jientje: I'm not sure how claustrophobic that elevator would be - maybe the mirrors help?

Storyteller: thanks, I'm pleased with that shot - wasn't sure if the doorman was displeased (surely they are used to it, though?)

MaryT: one needs to play tourist in one's city to notice the hotels!
