this is the Frederick Carder Building which houses the most gorgeous pieces of Steuben glass

I maybe have never been to The Met, but I have seen where it is, and greeted by this (another mosaic!) beauty.

there is also the Rockwell Museum of Western Art, housed in the former City Hall. Artemus (Art is a must) is the museum's mascot buffalo crashing through the bricks on the second floor.

I’ve never had a ‘black & white cookie’ and have only heard of them from Seinfeld, and this small cookie cafe on Market St in Corning was closed when I stumbled on it. So I still have no idea how good this delicacy may taste.

My world is only a 4 hour drive from the best museum I have ever been to. And as a bonus, Corning includes an historical Market Street that has been meticulously preserved.

Chemung River, the other side

It has been too cold to go out bridge hunting - or any photo hunting - so this week, I am posting views from my trip to Corning New York from last summer. I remember seeing a sign in a shop window about “saving the Chemung Bridge” which I assume is the one above that is in need of repairs, but I haven’t been able to find anything about it. The first view includes the Bridge St bridge which was first posted here and another bridge seen from this one was posted here.
