Right! The second one is in Thornton.
I'm not in the right country or even continent to visit these, but they surely look attractive!

Granny: the second one was a very nice family run place, but as happens, the owners became too old to carry on.
Mrs Nesbitt: very Canadian, I think!
Neat old places, they do show some history I think. It's a shame that the second one is for sale. Hopefully it will continue to be run as a pub. It would be sad if it lost its function.

Too bad someone hasn't come forward to keep the closing one open! It looks as though it has a lot of character and history to it. What a shame...

We used to have a very small Queens Hotel here too, but the land sold off and new building ( condo) went up in it's place.
Thanks for stopping by to comment on my Rodmay Hotel post. This weekend I am going to another heritage hotel in the town of Steveston. I will post about it next week most likely. Next to the Rodmay Hotel in Powell River is the Old Courthouse Inn. It is a conversion, but a very historic building. I believe it is on the market. - Margy
It's a shame when hotels have to close - less competition for the others.
