Haven't seen an escalator in an long, long time on account of being a stay at home country girl. Used to love them...
i remember the macy's nyc escalators when they were really new and special

What awesome shots for the letter E. Very creative!
Looks like the Macy's escalators have been around for a long time. They remind me of the ones in the former Simpsons downtown Toronto.
I THOUGHT I recognized them! Of course, Macy's old escalators are wonderful!
Up and Down the Escalators, I use to love riding escalators Up and Down when I was young, it didn't take much to entertain me back then.
Well used and still going strong. They're much more attractive than the modern metal ones.
Seeing escalators like that brings back memories, or am I just imagining them? Am I really that old?
Yes, I believe we are all that old, that we get a little bit excited and nostalgic over wooden escalators!
Escalators for the less than energetic among us, but always a delight as a child!
You sure captured the escalators so nicely! Great pictures!
Glorius shots. Great art work.
Macy's and escalators, true Americana. Wonder how many feet have travelled those over the years.
This reminds me of being a little kid and being very afraid to step onto an escalator. I like the golden tones in these photos.
