I like new yellow best, so streamlined
but old yellow is a classic

great post

Dianne: the 'old' yellow doesn't look very yellow when seen with the 'new' yellow!
It is more streamlined, but I still think I prefer the classic bug.

Punch buggies yellow! No punch backs.

Stacey: thanks for visiting. and yes, I thought this would be fun!

Quilt: both bugs are cute; I've never actually been in a newer version.

Lorac: quick off the mark, aren't you?

love the new yellow!

To start the week, I am sharing our walk in the park last weekend.

chubskulit: it seems the new yellow is ahead as the favourite!

HA! ... the old one sure faded out. Amazing that this car still looks so similar to it's older version. Seems like most owners are women, and they have a flower in the dash holder ;-)

Hello from Minnesota!

I would like to share our Mellow weekend

Hey, that's very good! I so like the new yellow, car and all. I wouldn't mind that parked in front of my apartment.

VioletSky said...

Nora: it would look bright and cheery in your driveway.

Joops: the old yellow ones are quite rare, but the new yellow seems to be the most popular colour of choice.

Speedcat: that stupid daisy is de rigeur! I don't think the older models were ever that brightly painted.

My son's first car was an old beetle and it was as bright yellow as it could be.
I'd love to have one of the new ones.
Great shots and perfect for MYM!

Quilly: yay, another 'original' fan. I also like the muted colour of the old yellow, the new one is way too bright.

Spiderdama: I always wanted a beetle, mostly because it was so different. one in baby blue...

Carletta: you'd have to get that flower power thing to go with it - and here the personalized licence plates are also popular!

MMT: :)

Anne: but did you try fitting 12 people into one as a stunt?

Stephanie V said...

I remember riding in an old yellow beetle as a kid - it was new then and I was so impressed!

VioletSky said...

Stephanie: and it is a car that everybody turns to look at as it drives by.

Marice said...

VioletSky said...

Marice: that's great - when she grows up, she'll have an innate fondness for these cars.
