Leacock Chairs

Street Art in Orillia to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town (Mariposa)
designs by local artists, Marg Gurr (above) and Laura Carter (below - the juried art award winner)

These chairs are made of sheet metal and although not cushiony soft, are quite comfortable!

Nice bright colourful cushions on the chars. The street art event looks like it was fun.

Those chairs remind me of the chair we had when I was a kid and can't remember the English name of. Please help me. I find the armrests a little odd and maybe not very comfortable. Who knows?

This is a variation of the Morris Chair.
The arms actually have little shadow boxes in them so they are a little oversized than usual.

Love this whimsical street art. The anthropomorphism of the chairs is clever and amusing. Thanks, Violet, for contributing to Monday Mural.
