The only cemetery I've seen as dense as that are the military ones although this one has far more flowers. I would imagine a very gregarious Italian afterlife.
Us with our wide open spaces down here in Australia, find cemeteries like this a bit hard to contend with. They are beautiful, but you could be exhausted and only have done one row of the cemetery!
I do like the colour and 'life' that flowers add to a cemetery, but then, I also like just a little bit of grass around the graves.
I must admit that I often sit on graves when they have concrete 'coffins' on top of them. Sit and talk to the long dead all around me.

It looks so beautiful and well cared for.
Beneath Thy Feet
lovely, but very crowded!
ROG, ABC Wednesday team
very crowded indeed!
i wonder whether its the perspective or that the gravebeds are just quite small?
@CaT - the grave plots were smaller than one would have expected. no wasted space, I guess.

I like how close together they are. It's very intimate. And each a place for sitting and reflection.
Ah yes, Genoa, the cemetery has so much to show. I made so many photos as you did too I see.
