This is a hood ornament from a 1951 era Pontiac.

Fantastic photo. I remember seeing Chief Pontiac on cars in the 1950s.
Chief Pontiac was the most famous leader of a group of first-nations (native) North Americans trying to oust the British from the Great Lakes region in the mid 1700s. Fourteen of the first nations tribes were involved in the conflict, which compelled the British to make policy changes.

Beautiful sign. Clever quote.

What a wonderful quote and what a fantastic photograph. You really outdid yourself. You could hang that framed and matted on any wall and sell it for art. Or just admire it if you don't want to go commercial. I'm mightily impressed.

What a fabulous hood ornament, and your capture of it is awesome. The chrome is sparkling and the other colors so clear and crisp. Such a great shot. genie
