Ontario Place is an adventure park that sits out in Lake Ontario near the
Canadian National Exhibition grounds.
Canadian National Exhibition grounds.
It will soon get a complete overhaul and redesign to bring it up to date.
Here we have the main entrance as it stands today.

I confess that I haven't been there for a long, long time.
I have only been there twice..really enjoyed the HMCS Haida and ringing the peace bell!

It looks very inviting, - would love to go over the bridge and see what is on the other side.
Oh so beautiful!
A Splash of Orange made my ABC this week, come and see. Thank you!
That is an inviting bridge.
I am getting addicted with this blogging hobby, I get to see beautiful places and learn interesting things. Very nice O you have here..
Mind lOOking at my O entry?, have a nice day!
It used be a good spot to watch the Labour Day air show until others caught on.
Love to visit this place.

Looks nice now, I'm sure it's be ten times nicer after the renovation.
I wonder what they will do with the old sign, if they put up a new one?
I like how this sign seemes to be "netted" and you can see around and through it! Quite lovely!
hmmm, where'd my comment go??
anyway, I have always liked the rounded font of this logo.
I like the curve of the bridge. Nice capture with the frame of the sign. Yes I'd be tempted to walk across the bridge.
Their sign doesn't look very adventurous.
Love the little humped bridge. They are lovely to look at from the computer, but I have a terrible time walking over them. I feel like I am going to fall backwards. I kind of like the older style of sign...but then I like the old because I am older myself.
I like the sign's understated elegance and simplicity.
@ postcardy: it was more of a park and green space when it first opened.
Lovely and welcoming sign! I hope they do it justice with the overhaul ;-)

I like the bridge -- looks like there would be an adventure on the other end !
I just read in the paper that entrance is free all summer to the grounds - will have to get down there - it's been years.
I had the Ontario - just not the Place! lol
When I lived in TO we went there often during the summer. I hadn't heard they were refurbishing it. It is quite a spot. Thanks for reminding me of it.
Have a great weekend coming up!
