Cool that you captured one rightside up and two tails up in the background. Makes it feel very real -- as if I'm standing there on the water's edge watching them. Nice picture.
I don't know why, but it always makes me giggle when ducks and geese up-end themselves like that to feed. It's just cute, I guess. The coloring on these is interesting--never seen anything like that before.
What an unusual duck - or is it a hybrid of some kind (not that I know a thing about ducks in Canada)? I love the ducks mooning you - I always get a giggle when the water fowl do that here as well.

Okay, what breed of duck (goose?)is it? Sometimes I see geese that have been interbred with Canada Geese.
Andy: I have no idea - I spent ages looking it up on the net and in my Birds of Ontario books, with no luck. I found him in Meaford.

Of course have to say what everyone else, what an unusual looking duck! Can't wait till I can go duck in the water myself! Nice shot!
You do seem to have a fascination with ducks.
So cute!

Cool shot, love the butts up! I think it is different but cute.
