66th St subway

The subway stations of New York could be a destination in themselves.
I maybe have never been to The Met, but I have seen where it is, and greeted by this (another mosaic!) beauty.

I rode the subways in New York in the 50's and 60's and there was so much gorgeous art there then. Lovely.

It certainly is very pretty down there. Who would have thought?

I could have spent all day travelling on the subway to see all the stations, if there wasn't so much to see above ground. Next time, if it rains...

Oh you are so true.

This reminds me I should dig out those subway signage I took in NY.

That subway must be like an underground art museum.

I've seen a photo somewhere in the past of a beautiful lamp outside the met station. And now I have seen the inside, lovely mosaic, thank you for the journey.
