bird's nest

artistic benches as public art started appearing along the hydro corridor path in Burlington
this one is by Ibrahim Rashid, entitled 'bird's nest'.

I just love the idea of 'artistic benches' in a public space - refreshing for the mind, as well as providing a place to stop and rest!

Useable public art seems to be becoming ever more popular despite all the government cuts. It gives us some pleasure and some hope.

This would really be an attractive bench if it had regular legs on it and didn't have to be bolted down!
