snowy bridge

Last Saturday, we had a fair bit of snow fall overnight, with enough wind to create some interesting snow drifts - the promenade bridge at Lasalle Park was clear, but the drifts to get to it were knee deep in some places.

And, the lake was completely covered in ice and snow.

Oooh, I like that first shot of the snow drifts ahead of your bridge. Reminds me of the sand dunes I posted recently. I don't recall seeing the lake totally covered in snow the eight winters I lived near it.

Francisca: this part is actually the bay (Burlington Bay) it has much calmer waters so does freeze.

Makes feel cold. After Friday's big melt the snow is supposed to return tonight.

Nice shot of the drifts on the approach to the bridge. The larger view of the bridge and snow covered lake has an other-worldly quality to it. Great work!
