Very beautiful, Violet (although that is not your real name, but I'll humor you), and thank goodness you work nights so you can be witness to this early morning process.
That´s a great red glow in the horizon. Why do I think it´s like an explosion?
Beautiful sunrise....I like both photos...although the color in the second is gorgeous...

chrome3d: and it almost immediately exploded behind that heavy cloud.
Carol: the band of colour in the first one doesn't show up as well, but I don't often get to see the sun peeking over the horizon in a blaze as this.

Delwyn: it was a hot day - temp got up to 28C before the wind and rain and thunderstorm kicked in. back to single digits today.
