bakery goodness

seen in Niagara Falls at the Queen St site of the Gay Brothers Bakery.
It has been recently repainted (found a more faded version on the internet from 2009)

At least someone wants to keep this sign well presarved. It's a beauty.

why did this company choose to show pie when the recommendation is to eat more bread? perhaps I'm too picky, but...

One of the things I enjoyed most of my six months on the road was finding and taking pictures, when I was able, of ghost signs and murals. This would have been a treat to find. As I sort through my photos from the trip, I'll be putting together a file of ghost signs and murals to share.

Oh, and just to let you know, Violet, I'm posting exclusively at www.anniegolightly.blogspot.com. All my other blogs are going to be printed to book format and then deleted from my dashboard. It will be work intensive but it's all part of making a simpler life.

I don't believe the sign, but the pie looks wonderful, and I would like to eat more of that please. Great find.

That's a great-looking ghost sign. Glad they are making efforts to preserve it.
