Beautiful carving, like those welcome flowers above the door. I looked to see if the Wesley Centenary branch was the same as the Wesleyan I was familiar with but it appears not. Just as well for that church in my town is now a nightclub. I wonder how many different types of Methodism there are. Could be a whole ABC round in that concept:-)
I get so excited when I see these panels - they are usually so ornate and expertly done. (and often still in excellent condition!) I didn't know there was a church like this in Saugeen. Do you remember where it is?

Interesting how the church is called "centenary church" - suggesting that the sign was erected recently? Love the embossed features of the sign!
beautiful reliefs. i like the textures and color contrasts here.

These are beautiful panels, Violet! Nice one.
Interesting mix of styles in this church. These terra cotta panels are handsomely carved by a deft hand.
Very beautiful! I love the color of them, too! Makes me want to do a "rubbing" of the carving!

Hey violet sky, you've had some great photos lately. The Sandy Hook one is so touching.
I'm glad you stopped by and saw the Violet house. I don't get to blog surf much any more but did think of you when posting the violet house!!!
I grew up as a Methodist in the Wesleyan tradition.
