What a cool mural. These social groups for folks from "the old country" used to be so prevalent. I'm surprised and pleased to see some still operate. And thank you for participating in this week's Monday Mural.
@Halcyon - the Germans have done an amazing job of assimilating in Toronto and it is hard to find any clubs, or even restaurants. I have always been intrigued by this place - but not enough to try their Friday night dinners.
It is an interesting conundrum. zyou leave a country because you figure you will do better in another country, yet you cannot leave the social aspects of your past behind. I guess it is a mighty tug on the heart.

If it's anything like the Dutch club was In Los Angeles, I would worry about it. They were so old fashioned and unassimilated.

hahahha, funny. i think such "clubs" from one nation in another are quite common. i try to avoid the dutch club here in boston by all means... :)
