This photomosaic of the (old) one dollar bill was created in 2007 for Owen Sound's 150th anniversary. Made up of 363 photos it is meant to celebrate the industrial accomplishments and the many people who call Owen Sound home.

I think this is very cool. Both photos are. I'm glad I read French still, though there isn't much her. But I find myself following more and more Canadians' blogs.
A propos of nothing, I lived in Belgium for several months. In a French section. But all the street signs were painted out--both Flemmish and French. I've never been to Canada, unfortunately.
Does this happen there? Where one faction paints out the other's language? You all seem far more civlized than that. Unfortunately, in the USA, I haven't any doubt that people would get all "Let's paint ou t the other language."

"What's a dollar bill?" asked the Loonie. ;-)
In fact, I'm surprised that in 2007 they were even able to find one on which to base their (lovely and clever) mosaic, although I have held onto one to show the grandkids one day. My ABC Wednesday is O is for Oracle.
Yes, I thought it a rather odd choice and still don't really understand why they chose this. But it is really cool to see.
We have a couple of one dollar bills tucked away, along with the two dollar bills that are now passe.
Very cool. Next time I visit Owen Sound I must remember to check thus out.
