Yes, I still have dozens of photos from my trip to Corning NY last year....
this is the Frederick Carder Building which houses the most gorgeous pieces of Steuben glass
The CMoG logo has the 'o' in the shape of the firing oven with the glass inserted and the doors open

Ah, very cool. I may have to put Corning and the museum on my bucket list.
Like Pat above, I too wondered how it was pronounced. Nice catch for signs -- and in the post below, the swan photos are absolutely calm, peaceful and beautiful.
@ Yogi - oh, yes, you must! I loved it and spent 3 days there and was not once bored. i
I don't know if anyone actually says CMoG - but I thought of it as being pronounced see - mog.
The logo is so imaginative, almost like a rose. Nice building.
I like it when logo designs are directly related to what they are representing.
I also LOVE this building - perfect for a glass museum!
Impressive building and love the stylish understatement of the sign.
I've always wanted to get there - looking forward to hearing more about your trip.
And I love the second photo. Wonderful composition of shape and light.
A museum of glass that would be a nice place to visit.

I bet that place is neat, people do amazing things with glass and they are among the best.
I would love to tour here! Glass making seems to be so fascinating. I like that the logo has incorporated the process of glass firing. Nice.
This second photo looks very good! :) Tina
How clever to use the shape of the firing oven as the O.
The glass factories I've been to are a lot less sophisticated than this. The Corning building made of glass is stunning. Have you seen this Corning video?
Yes, I have - in fact it is in my line-up for posting on my other blog! Pretty cool, isn't it?
It's a fantastic vision of the future (and perhaps not that far off), but I'm of two minds whether I want to live in that world. :-)
Sorry to be so late commenting. We are out o. I would love to go to the Corning Museum. I know it has to be filled with gorgeous pieces. The shot of the glass being fired in the oven is awesome. Great post. Genie
