I have never seen swans out in the winter. All the ones I have seen have been kept in barns during the cold weather.
I really like the one dipping his head under water!!
The lake here is so deep it doesn't freeze completely. And there is a community that watches over these beautiful creatures (and the ducks).
Those are really big tags, no wonder the birds are trying to hide..GG. I've not seen any in person yet. beautiful birds... Michelle
I just looked again...I live east of Buffalo...thank goodness that Lake Erie freezes so we get less lake effect snow as the winter goes on..
