I was blue, just as blue as I could be
Ev'ry day was a cloudy day for me
Then good luck came a-knocking at my door
Skies were gray but they're not gray anymore
Blue skies
Smiling at me
Nothing but blue skies
Do I see
Bluebirds
Singing a song
Nothing but bluebirds
All day long
Never saw the sun shining so bright
Never saw things going so right
Noticing the days hurrying by
When you're in love, my how they fly
Blue days
All of them gone
Nothing but blue skies
From now on
I should care if the wind blows east or west
I should fret if the worst looks like the best
I should mind if they say it can't be true
I should smile, that's exactly what I do
- Irving Berlin, 1926

Great song to brighten up our day:)
Sharon: For some reason I was singing it to myself most of the night at work, so had to find the bluest sky I could find to go with it. These photos were taken last Friday.
Both pictures are very nice. Love blue skies!
Louise: Thanks. They do make you smile, don't they?
Lovely words to accompany those great "blue" shots! That house is just gorgeous...Enjoy SWF
Lovely blue sky shot.
I'm afraid it doesn't look that way over here and won't for a while. But it has and will again. Always remain optimistic. What say you?
Linnea: I couldn't fit it all in without losing some of the view it had over the lake.
Secret Mom: Thanks, I love a little 'not-a-cloud-in-the-sky'.
Irene: Optimistic thinking is very helpful. We still have a long way to go yet, as well. Spring is moving s-l-o-w-l-y.
I love blue skies, and yours are gorgeous!
Hi Violet,
funny how blue can have both positive and negative connotations...
Happy Blue days
Jientje: blue skies can do no wrong.
Delwyn: is that where "moody blues" comes in?!
Wonderful song lyric to share with your beautiful blue sky! I often find myself humming this one as I visit blogs on the weekend.
Hugs and blessings,
Great songwriter and wonderful picture of the branch too.
Storyteller: Thanks. It is good you visited here, the song is definitely in your head!
Marc: yes, the branch - a sign of spring, hopeful?!
