at one point I saw a sign reading 47C, but my photo wasn't fast enough to catch it and it had changed back to the time (which was 2:30)

Love how the jazz sign captures the personality in the jazz performers' faces! And a street sign for time and temperature is rather handy!

I hope the concert was indoors with this heat, but probably not being a summer concert!

I believe it was to be held indoors at the Concert Hall (Palau de Musica) as opposed to a street festival.

and yes, there were many of these advert signs with the time and temp - very handy, indeed

Oh my gracious, that's hot!

I smiled at your comment on my post, about Eiteljorg not seeming very "native." So, I went back and edited my post to include a hyperlink to the "about" page for the museum. We are very fortunate to have such a wonderful museum here in central Indiana.

That concert sounds fun - I've never been to a jazz festival yet. 41C is boiling hot, I wonder how it is at nighttime there?

hot weather and jazz seem to go together

Our family spent a couple of summers on the coast near Valencia, but I don't recall it ever being THAT hot! And although a jazz festival appeals to me, I'd be reluctant to attend in that kind of heat!
