Monday Mural

I have driven down this street many times, but mostly it is in the other direction. So I was shocked and thrilled to see this Guinness mural on the side of a rundown bar as I drove down James St towards the waterfront. The bar did not look very inviting and I wasn't even sure it was still in business, but apart from the bizarre paint job to cover up what must have been a tag, it looks in great condition.

The art work looks like it's from the 30's or 40's. Now that you are actually search for murals you will suddenly see them appear. I just found one in Ajax that I must have drove by a thousand times.

That used to be humor in past times I think. Luckily we now have improved to know better. Poor ostrich....

I've had the experience more than once of spotting something and going "whoa, how come I've never seen that?" Glad you saw it going the other way and snapped it. Both nostalgic and humorous. Can't beat that. Thank you again for participating in Monday Mural.
