to all buses

These pigeons seem happy to welcome you to this GO Station in downtown Hamilton. The TH&B Ry Co stands for Toronto, Hamilton and Buffalo Railway Company (which merged with Canadian Pacific in the late 1980s). It is the only art deco railway station known in Canada. Today it doubles as a GO train and bus station which also includes other regional buses (Greyhound  and Canada Coach) as well as the local HSR buses.

And who do I recognize? Gilligan! ;-)

I've always liked art deco. The building looks as if it is well maintained.

Thanks for your visit and comment on my sign entry.

I IMMEDIATELY saw the poster from Gilligan’s Island which was one of my favorite shows. What a wonderful piece of entertainment history rich there as you go to board a bus. I love this post. What a fun time down memory lane. genie

I love the pigeons on the signs ... but had to laugh out loud to see Gilligan - that was one of my FAVORITE shows when I was (a lot) younger!

Funny how we are all seeing Gilligan right away! He seems to have made quite the impression on all of us. :)

It's always great to see when Art Deco buildings are well preserved and put to good use. This one seems especially useful and put to the purpose it was meant for. Which is only right.

I'd know that smiling face and gawky hat anywhere! Good to see how well Gilligan fits in and stands out from the decor! Love seeing the design of public transport areas round the world! Always interesting!
