A note for those who are not in the hockey loop: the Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup last week after 49 years. As every local sports writer has noted, this win means the Toronto Maple Leafs are now officially the worst team in the NHL having not won since 1967.
Yes, I am from Toronto. Oh, the shame.
I just learned something. Looks like a comfy place!
Though I know nothing about hockey, this coffee shop looks very cozy and inviting.
Some cafes especially those in the country do have that kind of historical character decorated in their premise.
Hmmm I can smell the luscious aroma of the coffee. Any homemade cake as well?
The owner of this place changes the displays around the fireplace according to season ... or whim.
and yes, there is home made cakes and cookies and sandwiches...
Looks like a great place! I'd be willing to bet that Chicago will be celebrating for some time to come! Great post for the day!
Sylvia
didn't they just win?
have a lovely week.
Yes, the shame is almost too much to bear. If only the Black Hawks had lost so we could still hold our heads high. LOL
One bright spot: the Leafs have no place to go but UP! (Unless they choose to be the anchor for years to come, that is.)
Go, Leafs! :)) (I think my voice is fading,)
If the Blackhawks can win after a 49 year drought, then the Leafs have 6 years to pull up their bootstraps before they beat that record!
Its a history in the making!
The coffee shop is a pretty place to hang out.
What a cheerful poster!
looks like a cozy place.
Looks inviting and very cozy.
So glad the Black Hawks did not let them down...now what are we going to do with thos Maple Leafs...maybe they need a public shrine? Have a great week.
Smiles
Well, the Leafs finally have a new leader!
