I always think garages down below the house like this seem so exotic. I guess there must be a stairway from the garage to the living quarters.
What a splendid door. Our garage door looks just like that one! (plain white rectangles). Love the two curves above - one with shingles and one with stone.

that is probably the prettiest landscaped garage that i've ever seen.
EG: I hope there is another stairway - I'd hate to be negotiating those outdoor steps in the dark.
Leora: I love those curves, too. though I think a wood door with nice windows might fit in better.

Yes, it's really too bad about that door. You'd expect something totally different there.
Nora: I can see carriage doors in a dark wood, maybe with some curve detailing to match the roof line.
