Very well done. You've managed to combine the important architectural elements into your images with great effect.

Great idea for the shot and they are great church fronts aren't they.

Ida: these have beautiful frescoes on them.

Ciel: thanks, the lighting was perfect to show off the gold.

John: thanks, architectural elements are my favourite subjects.

Bandobras: I was there for ages, couldn't help myself!

Diane: I am not even certain which saint that is, but I he looks friendly.

Thom: thanks, and aloha to you.

Quilly: and another aloha! I was aiming for the door, when I realized if I just moved a wee bit to the left...

Carolyn: it was neat to see two similar looking churches directly opposite each other.

That's a great reflection in a beautiful door. It does make me curious to see the other church. Any chance of some photos of it? Peaceful co-existence of two religions, aye?

VioletSky said...

SquirrelQueen: thanks. I love those doors

Nora: there will be more

Those shots are amazing. Very very beautiful!

VioletSky said...

Steffie: thanks. too bad the Orthodox Church has only a solid wood door, so no reflection of the Catholic Church.

These are Great reflection shots! I just found an orthodox church in Newtown. The building is rather plain but I find the crosses really interesting and the paintings like the one in your second photo are beautiful.

What gorgeous shots, I love the lines and reflections!

VioletSky said...

James: yes,the buildings are plain on the outside - I've been told they make up for it on the inside!

Nicky: thanks. it was a perfect day for the sun glinting off all that gold.

These are really great! At first glance, I thought that they were painted glass panes. Beautiful. Kathy

Maria: thank you.

Kathy: I have now posted the full fresco.
