Decorative weather vanes are so amusing sometimes. A whale in the air - that's a whale of a tale.

Oh fun! I've seen so many types of weather vanes, but never a whale. So cute! :)

Nice lines and a great shine!

Annie: I hadn't realized just how many weather vanes are up - until I got my camera.

Char: they age so beautifully, don't they?

Goosebreeder: and nicely detailed too, with his tiny fins and big smile!

Amy: truly an original, methinks.

Quilly: by that shine, it is likely brand new - surely I would have noticed it before, you'd think?

I do like imaginative weather vanes, it's too bad that very often they are so high up in the air.

Nora: yes, this one was on top of a garage, so was more within eye level.

I love the way the light catches the whale's tail in this...
