Sainte Marie Among the Hurons was a Jesuit settlement, the first European one in Ontario
The mural was painted by Fred Lenz and is the largest outdoor historical mural in North America.

Looks like I need a day trip to Midland soon! I saw the duck here in Toronto.
I heard the duck was coming to Toronto (and area). Wish I was there to see it. Amazing mural!

I don't know why but I have always enjoyed learning about Sainte Marie Among the Hurons.
Can't imagine it was a good outcome for the Huron. The giant rubber ducky just made me laugh. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
