I haven't been to Port Elgin in years. Believe it or not my mother and I used to travel there by train.

What is so special about this particular place?
it is a well known place for spectacular sunsets - the far shore of Michigan is a long ways off, so it feels almost like looking out over an ocean.
Very cool that they change the banners with the season!
I have seen the sunsets from Sauble and Southampton. It is very different than our usual view over the city or (in my case) the escarpment.

I'd love to visit there...preferably in the summer...maybe someday.
Love the idea of seasonal banners for a township! Gives the area so much character! A sense of presence!
