Hutt Bridge

A rather plain bridge named for an extraordinary man. William Hutt was a great Canadian thespian who was one of the original Stratford Theatre Company members (he retired in 2005). This bridge on Waterloo St was renamed in his honour in 2000, 7 years before his death at 85. The bridge crosses the Avon River and is close to where he lived for many years.

Nice to see that someone considered William Hutt important enough to name a bridge after him.

Cool! I have never heard of him, but that's not to say he isn't well-known! I'm just a little behind the times on my Canadian history. :)

I'm not sure I want a bridge named after me... but I guess I needn't worry too much about that. :))
