Monday Mural

The Connaught Fish & Chip shop has a street scene painted on the side of the building which is far nicer than the real street scene. The detail is amazing, right down to painting a matching window at the corner.
I particularly like how the shadows that were real seemed to mesh with the ones that were painted

This is an amazing mural. Facing it, on the left it is really difficult to determine where the building ends and the mural begins. That makes it a big success.

Wow! I thought the building was real until I finished reading! Amazing work and a wonderful mural to share!

This is amazing. The details are great and if you had not mention it I would have thought the real windows were part of the mural. Smart thinking on the part of the artist. The perspective gives me a feeling of real depth.

That's the best one I've seen in a long time. The artist did a great job on it. It almost looks real. Good photography too.

This is cool. Hard to tell what's real and what's painted! And I'm a big fan of fish & chips, so two thumbs up!!

The perspective on this is fabulous. I live in a rural area and don't have much opportunity to capture murals but I post when I can. Wish I could find something cool like this.

Fantastic mural. The artist had a vision that fits perfectly into the setting. Thanks for participating in this week's Monday Mural.

A late PS. Re your comment on my blog: Haha... the hanging clothes and mops against the wall are just "life in the country"... I was just musing out loud last week about the deleterious effect on our world when the Chinese discover drying machines. Currently public drying of clothes on balconies and other places outside is a ubiquitous sight all over China. Not pretty, but I tremble at the alternative.
