dublin in new york

New York

A good place for a pint since 1920, though the sign didn’t appear until after Prohibition ended in the 1930’s. Located in the Upper West Side.

I was in New York once and there were no shortage of pubs. Nice photo.

Nora, I didn't go in (now I wish I had) but I googled it and apparently it has been a family owned pub since the beginning until a few years ago. but the current owner is Irish and has been the bartender there for a couple of decades.

That makes it just about as authentic as you can get. Thanks for the additional info!

It took me a while to see the harp, lol! It looks really inviting and I like the reflection of the lights on the facade.

Yeah, that sign would have been a little blatant during Prohibition! Looks like a fun "dive"....
