I was born and went to school in Toronto in the beach, before it was the place to live. Chum was part of my growing up as was CKEY whose anchorman was Lorne Green prior to Pondersoa.I remember Lorne Green announcing the Chinese crossing the Yalu River to support the N. Koreans after they had been severly defeated by US coaltion forces. It was such a gloomy broadcast that to my mind the Yalu River was just beyond the Don River. You've made me re-live a memory. Boom & Gary of The Vermilon River.
Amazing capture and a great tribute to Mark Dailey! Hope your week is going well!
Sylvia
wow - that is a cool installation and a great tribute.
Nice tribute. I didn't know of him but from the photo you chose he seems as though he must have been one to keep things interesting.
LilyHdrangea: Yes, Citytv was an unusually innovative tv station when it first started up back in the 70s and Mark Dailey had a fun way with his promos on the station
THat is one amazing shot!
What a fitting tribute!
Yes indeed a great loss. So sorry. Your photo is wonderful. Thanks for sharing it with us during this very sad week.
Nicely done.
I was really shocked to hear of his death. I did not know about his cancer. Thanks so much for the link - what a wonderful tribute.
Very nice photo and tribute
I saw this in the news. What a great tribute to him! Great capture.
